The difference between Religion and the Gospel of... →
agirlchangingtheworld:
RELIGION: I obey, therefore I’m accepted. THE GOSPEL: I’m accepted, therefore I obey. RELIGION: Motivation is based on fear and insecurity. THE GOSPEL: Motivation is based on grateful joy. RELIGION: I obey God in order to get things from God. THE GOSPEL: I obey God to get to God, to delight and resemble him. RELIGION: When circumstances in my life go wrong, I am...

Me: No one understands what I go through. No one knows.
God: I do. I perceive your thoughts from afar; I understand more than you do. Psalm 139:3
Me: Unless I tell people, no one sees my pain.
God: I do. I am with you everywhere. I am holding you constantly. Psalm 139:7-10
Me: I'm in the darkness, no one will come here to help me out. I'm stuck alone.
God: I will. Darkness is nothing; darkness is as light to me. Psalm 139:12
Me: People expect too much of me, I'll never be good enough. Might as well stop trying now.
God: You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Stop doubting! My works are wonderful. Psalm 139:14
Me: No one is with me on this one. I'm all alone. I should be, I'm not good enough. No matter how much I try, I will never be good enough. All I hear from people is my faults, I will never be good enough.
God: Don't you understand? I am with you. I am with you when you sit, when you rise, I am familiar with your ways. Be quiet about not being good enough, I MADE YOU AND, ALL MY WORKS ARE WONDERFUL, ESPECIALLY YOU. Who in the world has the power to call God's work 'not good enough'? Psalm 139. It will be okay, because I know. I know the un-shed tears, I know the scream that's rising in your throat. I understand the need to smash something, I know when you cannot control your emotions - I know how scary that is for you. I am with you holding your hand the whole way through. I keep you together when it feels like you're falling apart - you won't completely fall, because I am holding you, so long as you don't tell me to leave. I love you. That's enough. That's all you need. You have me. Stop looking at the devil, don't fall for his tricks, look at me, know me, love me. I am all anyone ever needs, so please, look at me.

The Paradox of Our Age. →
utterlydivinedarling:
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy it less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time. More degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgment; more experts, but more problems; more...

I’M NOT OKAY WITH CHRIS BROWN PERFORMING AT THE GRAMMYS AND I’M NOT SURE WHY YOU ARE
I’m sick and tired of people acting like it’s no big deal that Chris Brown will be performing at the Grammys.
I’m frustrated that the mainstream media is covering this story like it’s any…
